It is hard to put into words how much we appreciate all of the work that the team at Black Diamond put in to making our day perfect. The entire course of the day ran so smoothly, and we couldn’t have been happier. If there was a glitch, I certainly didn't know about it! From day one, Barb was fantastic at helping us bring our vision to life. We never felt pressure to make any decisions or changes and everything we wanted was executed to perfection.
Jordan was absolutely amazing with everything behind the scenes. The chef, Mark, made us a delicious dinner that everybody is still raving about. I had several people say it was the best wedding food they've ever had!
Unfortunately myself and my now-husband missed out on the cocktail hour hors douevres, but we hear they were awesome too! The room was set up exactly how we envisioned it, and even a very last minute change in our seating plan was no big deal at all. I feel like we got an "all inclusive" wedding, and throughout the course of our engagement I couldn't believe the time and effort this team put into "us".
All of the bar and catering staff were friendly and courteous. We have nothing bad to say. The price of the wedding for what we got was an amazing deal. I would highly recommend Black Diamond to anybody and everybody who asks!

Barb, Jordan, and the staff at Black Diamond were absolutely amazing from the moment we looked at the venue. Barb made the entire planning process as seamless as possible, even during a global pandemic. The venue and grounds are stunning. The food was delicious and our guests raved about it. Barb brings such a positive and calming energy to the venue. We felt like we were in good hands the entire time and like no details were forgotten. You honestly cannot go wrong booking with Black Diamond. By the end, the staff were beginning to feel like family.

A+ VENUE! We love Black Diamond Golf Club!

You can not go wrong with booking with Black Diamond Golf Club! Barb was absolutely amazing before, during, and after the wedding. All staff were extremely helpful and very friendly as well. The ceremony was absolutely breathtaking and the venue was so much more than we ever pictured. The dinner, appetizers, and pizza truck were extremely delicious and everyone was so happy they could take their pizza to go. It was the most perfect day. The decorator Diana and Officiant Elizabeth were also amazing. Again, we could not have pictured a more perfect day/evening!

First and foremost, I cannot say enough good things about Barb Timms! We were married the day of the big storm. Barb and her staff didn't break a sweat and they pulled off our wedding without a hitch! Despite having no Hydro the day was seamless for my husband and I as well as all of our guests!

 

Everyone raved about the food and the accommodations. The whole experience leading up to the wedding was a pleasure as well. I would recommend Black Diamond to anyone!

 

Barb deserves a raise! I cannot imagine how stressed she was trying to pull it all together after one of the biggest storms on record.

Beyond Perfect!! The food was incredible and our guests are still talking about it! The venue is so gorgeous and the decorator did such an amazing job and was very detailed. Since the day we booked Barb has been amazing. She was always available for questions and super flexible to work with. Planning during Covid and changing restrictions was challenging but Barb made it so easy. The staff here were so friendly and organized it made the night flow so smoothly. I would highly recommend this venue.

5 Star experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Where to even begin. The experience we had at Black Diamond Golf Club was incredible and we couldn’t imagine our day any other way. From the moment we met Barb, we knew that she would do a fabulous job. She took all of our ideas and made sure that our dreams came true. Organizing and postponing a wedding during Covid seemed stressful at first but Barb made it easy and it was seamless transition. The staff at Black Diamond were all so friendly and accommodating. The bar manager, Jordan was so wonderful, she took us around the course to get photos and make sure we captured all the best spots! The food was amazing, from appetizers to our midnight snack. We’ve heard nothing but great things from our guests. Many have said it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. I can’t speak highly enough about Barb and the team at Black Diamond. Barb went above and beyond to make sure the day was perfect. She not only exceeded in our expectations, she surpassed them. From the decor to all the fine details, she thought of everything!! Our wedding day was perfect! Black Diamond is a gorgeous place to get married! We loved it! Everyone working
there is a delight and made it so seamless! Barb’s the coordinator there and she’s super easy going and a great lady to work with. She noticed the rain was coming prior to ceremony and knew how badly I wanted my ceremony to stay outside with the rolling hills and gorgeous views, so she shuffled it to happen as quick as possible! It worked out perfectly and rained hard as soon as we all got inside! Rain or shine, it’s a gorgeous spot! When the rain stopped, they took us out on golf carts for pictures to the beautiful ponds they have. So fun and so gorgeous! Food was amazing! Everyone raved about it! The Chef did such a good job. Leading up to our wedding day and even after he was checking in with us and making sure we were on the same page and were happy with everything. I can’t say enough about all the staff at Black Diamond, and I think that’s what makes your wedding. All the people that put it together and create your vision for you and are there to make your day go as planned. We couldn’t have asked for a more fun, beautiful day! Wish I could relive it again!!

Just the BEST day EVER! Planning a wedding during COVID was quite the experience, but Barb Timms and the team at Black Diamond made everything SO easy. From postponing our 2020 plans to 2021, to adding guests one week prior to the wedding as restrictions lifted, Barb was SO accommodating. Barb treated us like family and just wanted everything perfect for us, and we can’t thank her enough!! Our day was everything we imagined. Jordyn took us out to perfect spots for photos and John, the chef, made the most outstanding meal. The food was plated beautifully, it was hot and portions were huge! Guests commented that it was “the best food at a wedding that they had ever had!”. We could not have asked for anything more. We are so grateful and would recommend Black Diamond to everyone!

The Perfect Wedding! We just want to thank Black Diamond Golf Club and Barb Timms their wedding coordinator for giving us the perfect wedding! We had numerous hiccups along the way with covid and even had to reschedule our wedding to 2 months later and Barb was more than accommodating along every step of the way. All of our wedding guests are still raving about the food and how nice the views were at the golf course. If you are planning your wedding we would highly recommend you choose Black Diamond as your venue. You will not be disappointed! If we could rate higher than 5 stars we would. Wonderful place for a wedding! Thank you! Our grandson and his new wife held their wedding at Black Diamond this weekend. I usually think that 5 star ratings are overdone, but I can tell you that Black Diamond is very deserving! From the venue, to the staff, to the amazing food! Service timing was prompt, the staff were wonderful, and it was far more food than I would have expected! Not one person left hungry! And so tasty; the new chef is awesome as well. I can’t think of one thing that was lacking. Huge thank you to Barb Timms for everything that you did for us. Even with covid limiting us all, you made our day possible, and special. Thank you, Black Diamond! See you when you open!

My new husband and I got married in September 2018 at Black Diamond Golf Course, and we honestly don’t know where to begin in describing how unbelievably perfect our wedding day was. One day in February 2018, we booked a few tours at various local venues; Black Diamond was our first and only stop. As soon as we met with our coordinator Jessica and took a tour of the modern and sophisticated reception hall and golf course, we confirmed our wedding date before leaving that very day.

From everything that comes included in your package to the service that we have received I would 100 percent recommend your wedding at Black Diamond. Absolutely wonderful experience COVID silver lining: my husband and I happened to find a microwedding package at Black Diamond and ended up having the wedding we truly wanted in our hearts. After scrapping our original plan for an 80-guest wedding, we ended up hosting 25 people for an outdoor ceremony and reception. The scenery was simply stunning, and was far better than we could have imagined. We have beautiful photos with varied backdrops from the golf course. There are gorgeous little bodies of water, expanses of green, areas of tall grass, plenty of trees, anything you could want if you are looking to have wedding photos in nature. Barb was a truly wonderful coordinator. You can tell right away that she is very experienced and resourceful. Upon meeting her we felt very reassured that things were going to go smoothly. And everything did go smoothly. She kept in regular contact with us to ask about our preference for every detail. This included everything from the exact colour of roses I preferred in my bouquet, to the types of coolers we wanted in our custom bar, to accessibility routes around the venue for my husband’s grandmother. Barb even spoke with our parents when they were feeling anxious about us having a wedding during a pandemic. We talked through various precautions that we could take, and she was extremely responsive to our needs. She even made us a delicious two-tiered carrot wedding cake with fresh flowers, as well as a custom welcome sign! Most importantly, because things were so well-run, my husband and I genuinely enjoyed our wedding. We were able to relax, have fun, and enjoy the company of our family. Our heartfelt THANK YOU to Barb and the staff at Black Diamond for giving us the best wedding day.

Black Diamond Golf Club - Barb Timms Our wedding experience was Absolutely Amazing! Barb was our wedding fairy godmother - through covid we had to postpone a year and then replan and she made all of our requests come to life. The food was incredible (h'orderves and dinner). We had a bit of a windy day for the outdoor ceremony, but it was still perfect! We were then taken out on the course with our bridal party for wedding photo’s, it was nice to be able to do this at the venue but in privacy from all our guests. The whole team at Black Diamond was an absolute pleasure to work with leading up to and on the day of the wedding! We returned back on the Sunday to get decor items we had left and everything was organized on a table for us, as well as some gifts that were locked in the back office. Overall, couldn’t have asked for anything more and would highly highly recommend this venue and team to anyone in the future!
